Spain and Barcelona striker of Lamine Yamal has decided not to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris.
The 16-year-old was called to the Spanish Olympic football team.
"Playing time is too much for my age. I have decided not to participate in the Olympic Games because I am participating in Euro 2024, and I want to be 100-percent focused on this tournament," Yamal said, reports Football Espana.
The young footballer took his school exams online during the UEFA Euro 2024, being held in Germany, and completed his compulsory secondary education.
The Paris Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11.
Spain will face Georgia Sunday in the Round of 16 of Euro 2024.
